Deep Tissue

Deep tissue works specific muscles and all five layers of depth to the muscle tissue. It mainly focuses on removing adhesions, flushing out the toxins and build up of lactaid acids, and aligning muscle fibers for proper function, mobility and circulation. Pressure is always up to the client.  Remember to speak up.

Neuromuscular Therapy/Trigger point

Neuromuscular therapy works to release neurological impingements caused by adhesions, improper tracking, compressed nerve sheath or trigger points. A fully functioning nervous system is essential, not only for sensation and function, but for positional awareness and the body’s warning systems. It is most commonly known to treat carpal tunnel, cubital tunnel, or sciatica, but it can also be used for migraines, Bell’s palsy,  frozen shoulder, headaches itchiness, ticklishness and more.

IASTM or GRASTON

Long ago called GUA SHA, instrument assisted soft tissue manipulation is the use of surgical stainless steal blades to break apart adhesions between the fascia and dermal layers.  It effects the outer nerve endings of the neuro system (Ruffini endings and Pacinian corpuscles). This increase in tangential gliding results in better lymphatic circulation, and increased neurological sensitivity and awareness. The benefits of fascia release include increased mobility and range of motion as well as overall increased strength and function.

Cupping

Cupping works similarly to IASTM in its effects on outer lying fascia and dermal gliding, as well as pulling up stagnant toxins and blood through tissue.  It is typically more relaxing than IASTM.  I use both mechanical cupping and placement techniques when needed, and, of course, upon request

Sports Massage

Sports massage is manual manipulation of the muscles geared specifically toward helping people who have physically demanding lifestyles and/or hobbies. This kind of therapeutic massage considers the impact of certain activities on specific joints, muscle groups, tendons, ligaments.
